Local Business Community Unites for Charitable Quiz Night Success
8th Nov 2024
The Lincoln business community came out in force on this evening at Lincoln City Football Club for an evening of competitive fun and charitable giving, raising more than £1,000 for St Barnabas Hospice.
Twenty-five teams from right across the local business sector put their knowledge to the test in what proved to be an exciting and closely contested quiz night. It was a night that showcased both the intellectual prowess and charitable spirit of Lincoln's professional community.
The legal minds were especially sharp on the night as Knights Solicitors' team "Oh What a Knight(s)" claimed pole position; second place went to Sills & Betteridge, while Wilkin Chapman rounded off the top three in what became a legal sector sweep of the podium positions.
But the true winner of the night was St Barnabas Hospice, which can now continue its crucial work in providing end-of-life care and support to patients and their families across Lincolnshire due to the event raising in excess of £1,000.
A great 25 teams participated-underline that sense of community and social responsibility within Lincoln's business community-but a great opportunity, too, for some relaxed networking and team building.
"The response from Lincoln's business community has been absolutely brilliant," said Tom, Marketing Manager. "To see 25 teams come together, compete with such enthusiasm, and raise over £1,000 for St Barnabas Hospice is beyond our expectations. It's been fantastic to see how an evening of fun can make such a meaningful impact for such an important local cause. Thank you to all those who attended."
The funds raised will enable St Barnabas Hospice to continue the vital work they do and touch the lives of so many local families at arguably one of the darkest moments in their lives.
